for by the AFLCIO- Firemen’s Union??

Mr. Fay, Mr. Gizzarelli and Mr. Angell.
Why would three candidates hide the fact that they are running for and on behalf of the firemen’s union??
Mr. Fay – Why wouldn’t Mr. Fay, who is a long term fireman on the Warwick Fire Dept. put that fact in his mailings? It is an honorable profession and he should be proud of it! But he might not be proud of the fact that he attended numerous CCFD board meetings (as I did) and was completely supportive of the board’s actions regarding outrageous contracts and deficit spending. He was also totally upset with those that disclosed these facts. Need we wonder why?
Mr. Gizzarelli – As a former long term member of the Central Coventry’s Board of Directors, he supported their budgets and wild spending on unneeded equipment like the infamous million dollar ladder truck which is now hidden away in storage! He never once spoke out against this extreme budget, their budget-busting spending, millions in abusive overtime, incestuous contract negations with firefighters negotiating between firefighters; all which sunk us into millions of dollars of deficit.
Both these candidates use the buzz words “we need to consolidate to save money for the district”, yet, they both sign onto contracts that clearly prohibit the elimination of any personnel such as: Chiefs, Assistant Chief, Lieutenants, Captains and Privates.
Mr. Angell, The Professor – the new mouthpiece for the firemen’s union. In my ad posting all the board candidates, I simply put “firemen’s choice”. This seemed to bother Mr. Angell. Most people really couldn’t understand his comments. He seemed to try to deny it.
At a public meeting last evening, Mr. Angell asked someone why they thought he was the “firemen’s choice” and that he was being supported by the union. The voter asked Mr. Angell about the great and similar mailings (e.g. graphics, color, style etc.) that came out for Mr. Angell, Mr. Fay and Mr. Gizzarelli. His first response was “well they came out of a mailing house and I am not sure who did it”. Quite an astonishing answer, don’t you think so? I do. When Mr. Angell was asked about the expense of the flyers that were mailed out under the union’s postage, he was quite taken aback that someone figured it out! I guess even a Professor didn’t realize you could just “Google it”.
Every well designed, classy, tri-color piece of literature that these three candidates mailed out at the cost of thousands of dollars were BOUGHT AND PAID FOR AND MAILED by the AFLCIO – Permit #724!
That’s right folks: THESE CANDIDATES ARE BOUGHT AND PAID FOR BY THE UNION!
