Cecile M. (Valerien) Ray, 88, of Coventry passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at West View Health Care. She was the wife of the late Anthony Ray. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Elphege and Lucia (Belisle) Valerien.
Mrs. Ray was a volunteer at the Coventry Senior Center and a member of The Elks Emblem Club of West Warwick.
She was the beloved sister of Therese M. Ray and her husband Manuel of Coventry, Doris Riel of Coventry and the late Leo Valerien and Rose Patenaude. Loving aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 60 Pleasant Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-7 pm.
