Marjorie L. Sunman, Coventry Senior Center Volunteer, Dies at 85

Calling hours are scheduled for Thursday, memorial services Friday.

Marjorie L. (Vaughn) Sunman, 85, of Lear Drive, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Heritage Hills Nursing Centre in Smithfield.

She was the wife of the late Harry W. Sunman and a daughter of the late Irving and Edith (Shelmerdine) Vaughn. Marjorie was a sales manager in the children's clothing department at the former Apex in Warwick for 25 years before retiring in 1989. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, card playing and arts & crafts. Marjorie volunteered for many years at the Coventry Senior Center. She was a fun-loving lady and had a zest for life.

Marjorie was the mother of Thomas I. Ferranti of Scituate, Linda M. Souza of Coventry, Sandra E. Korn of Charleston, SC, Rebecca B. Ferranti of Silver City, NM, and Deborah M. Bell of Lake Worth, FL; grandmother of 8; great-grandmother of 4. She was the sister of Shirley Mende of Johnston and the late Irving Vaughn.

Marjories's funeral service will be Friday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117), Coventry. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
