Lawrence Bricker, 78, Korean War Veteran

Lawrence F. Bricker, Jr., 78, of Pontiac Avenue in Cranston died Saturday at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Marilyn S. (Roentsch) Bricker. Born in Providence, a son of the late Lawrence F. and Marion L. (Prior) Bricker, he had been a long time Coventry resident before moving to Cranston thirteen years ago.

Mr. Bricker was an accountant with Sealol, Inc. and previously was a purchaser for the Providence Journal. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Blessing Council No. 5273 and a past president of the Coventry Hockey Association. Mr. Bricker was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, John L. Bricker, Sr. of Cranston; Frederick W. Bricker and Michael F. Bricker both of Coventry; ten grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Marion L. Carpenter.

His funeral will be Wednesday at 9 AM from the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Matthew Church, Elmwood Avenue, Cranston at 10 A.M. Calling Hours Tuesday 5-8 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 N. Main Street Providence, RI 02904 or St. Matthew Church 15 Frances Avenue Cranston RI 02910 will be appreciated.
