David E. Kenney, 68, of Giovanni Rose Ct., Coventry, passed away at home on Monday, August 26, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Phyllis A. (Morton) Kenney. They would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary this upcoming October. Born in Westerly, he was a son of the late Everette and Mary (Dowling) Kenney.
David was a sales representative with Republic Storage Systems covering the New England area for many years before retiring in 2006. He was a lifetime member of the BPOE 1697 Elks Lodge and a member of the Phenix Sportsman's Club in West Warwick.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Thomas W. Kenney and his wife Maria Regine-Kenney of Warwick; a daughter, Erin Colleen Kenney of Coventry and his grandchildren, Alexander and Ashton Kenney. He was the brother of Claire McCall, Anne Clifford, Peggy Adamowicz and Michael Kenney.
His Funeral Service will be held Friday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to VNA of Care New England Hospice, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886 would be appreciated.
