Help Remax Collect Food for Rhode Island Food Bank

At this time, I cannot think of any better idea then to help make people aware of the Remax Food Drive.

Every week I try to think of interesting and informational blog posts to write about that are home related. At this time, I cannot think of any better idea then to help make people aware of the Remax Food Drive. We need to help families that are less fortunate than us and no better time than at the holidays, when people are in need.

As seen in the Providence Journal on November 19, 2012, “The number of Rhode Islanders seeking food is at an all time high, while food donations are also dropping.”

15.5 percent or 67,000 households in Rhode Island lack adequate food in their household. Food donations to the food bank have dropped by 2 million pounds in four years. Now is when Rhode Islanders need our help the most, so please help!

With the help of our Marketing Director Karen Sechio, we have spearheaded a statewide food drive in our Remax offices. Locations for drop off are Coventry, Narragansett, Newport, East Greenwich, Warwick, Cranston, North Providence, Providence, Smithfield, Cumberland, East Providence and Barrington. Please help us by bringing food donations by December 6, 2012 to any of these locations. Items must be non perishable.

Every act of kindness is appreciated by people in need, trust me. Comment here if you have any questions regarding this effort or feel free to email me at katinalafazia@yahoo.com.
