Emily Pietrantozzi, representing the Kelly School of Irish Dance from Coventry, won the European Championships for her age category today (U14)!!!! Her teammate Claire Jalbert also did a fabulous job and finished 6th place overall for age group (U13)! Their teammate Megan Quirk finished in 7th place for her slip jig dance. What an amazing showing for these young ladies from Rhode Island! The girls competed against 900 dancers from China, Germany, Russia, Australia, USA, England ,Ireland and 17 other countries. They will compete again on Monday at the World Championships, also in Dusseldorf, Germany.
