Fire Districts to Help Santa Visit Coventry Neighborhoods

Central Coventry, Coventry, Western Coventry and Hopkins Hill fire districts will help Santa visit residents on their fire trucks again this year.

Keeping with tradition, Coventry's four fire districts will once again transport Santa Claus through Coventry neighborhoods beginning this week. Here are the schedules, by fire department:

Coventry (Anthony) FD:

Sunday, Dec. 22 - 4 to 8 p.m.: North of Washington Street and Windsor Park area

Monday, Dec. 23 - 4 to 8 p.m.: Washington Street and South of Washington Street

Central Coventry FD: 

Thursday, Dec. 19 - 5:30 to 9 p.m.: Former Harris Fire District

Saturday, Dec. 21 - Noon to 5 p.m.: Former CCFD (Hill Farm, Harkney Hill, Rt. 117, etc. Not including Wood Estates)

Saturday, Dec. 21 - 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Wood Estates and Wood Estates North

Sunday, Dec. 22 - Noon to 5 p.m.: Washington Village and Former Washington Fire District

Sunday, Dec. 22 - 5 to 9 p.m.: Former Tiogue Fire District, Arnold Road and New London Turnpike areas

Hopkins Hill FD:

Sunday, Dec. 22 - 12 to 3 p.m.: Hopkins Hill neighborhoods, beginning in the Mishnock area

Western Coventry FD:

Santa will be making four outdoor stops on Saturday, Dec. 21:

5:15 p.m. - Western Coventry Elementary School (4588 Flat River Rd.)

5:45 p.m. - Greene Public Library (179 Hopkins Hollow Rd.)

6:15 p.m. - Rice City Church (63 Vaughn Hollow Rd.)

6:45 p.m. - Western Coventry Fire Station (1110 Victory Hwy.)

If you're on the lookout, for Santa, his Western Coventry route will take him from WC School, down Rt. 117 to Greene Library, back to Rt. 117, to Rt. 14 to Rice City Church, down Rt. 14 to Waterman Hill Rd., to Rt. 102 to WC fire station.
