Caring for your American Flag

Caring for your American Flag-The major enemies of a flag are wind and sun. Continuous day and night display will shorten a flag’s life.

Please note that as weather conditions vary the life span of each flag will be different.  Your flag works hard.  If your choice is to purchase a nylon flag (which is inexpensive compared to the polyester one) it will last approximately 2-3 months.  However, a polyester material can last up to two years in return for receiving reasonable care.

How to pro-long the life of your flag:

1) Occasionally wash your flag in warm mild detergent water (hang to dry) to prevent dirt and pollutants from attacking the fabric.
