All Things Cars

The common dilemmas any sophomore faces - driving, fundraising, and volunteering.

Ah. Welcome back. Since the last time I posted, I can safely say that "stuff" has happened. I do go to high school after all. :P

For one, I'll be getting my driver's permit soon. I'm not gonna lie, the thought excites me. This is the bridge betweenhaving my parents drive me around and ultimate independence. Naturally, I don't mind that they drive me. I feel like it'll definitely make life easier. Everyone's schedules won't have to change to get to the high school by 3pm to pick up Divya. I'll finally be able to drive myself home ... under the guidance of a licensed driver over 21 years of age.

At the same time, getting my permit is kind of ... scary. I mean, that's part of what makes it so exciting, but I can't get those images from driver's ed out of my head. All my friends who already have their licenses always say it's never their fault, it's always the driver who's not paying attention right next to them that causes the accident.

Speaking of cars, my class has some fundraisers planned for the upcoming couple of weeks. This Saturday, May 14th, we're going to be having a car wash at Ronzio's, across from T's on Post Road. All the money will be going towards our prom for next year and any other school events. So, for anyone with a dirty car, feel free to come by and support the class of 2013! (By the way, I apologize for my thinly veiled advertising.)

Asides from the car wash, and the lovely amount of homework high school gives me, I'm also volunteering at the Pancreatic Cancer Walk. I'm sure you've already heard about it, but if you haven't, sign up! It's for a great cause! It's at Goddard Park, and it's only 5 kilometers (3.1 miles).

See you there!

Now, for my song suggestion: Diablo Rojo- Rodrigo y Gabriela
