Wow!!!!! What a great Injury-Fund game. The Oakers faced the highly ranked Division-1 team of Cranston East. In case you don’t know, Coventry is Division 2A. The Injury-Fund game only lasts for 2 quarters and at the end of the game the score was 43-33 Cranston.
It’s a great time to be an Oaker. The offense has shown some great speed and versatility. They scored 33 points against one of the top teams in a division above them. The defense needs a little extra practice, but it’s highly unlikely that we’ll see another receiver as talented as the one we saw for Cranston East. I’ll say it again. It’s a great time to be an Oaker.
This Friday (September 13) is opening day. The Oakers play North Kingstown in Coventry at 7:00. Based on what I saw today, our Oakers ought to put up a lot of points. It should be an amazing game to watch. So, let’s create some Oaker buzz. Let’s try to break some first-game attendance records this Friday. Invite your friends and family. Let’s see a lot of the students and former students show up to cheer on our guys on opening day.
