More Than 2,200 Still Without Power in Coventry Tuesday Morning

Hundreds of homes continued to lose power due to fallen limbs and trees until early morning.

 

As of 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, National Grid is reporting 15,453 customers of in Kent County are still without power. Approximately 2,250 of those customers are Coventry residents.

According to National Grid's Power Outage Map, the most affected area of town is the Arnold Rd./New London Tpke. area with more than 700 customers left without power, including businesses and residences within Centre of New England.

Other largely affected parts of Coventry are the Weaver Hill Rd., Read School House Rd., Old North Rd. and Tiogue Lake areas, each with approximately 270, 234, 187 and 107 customers without power respectively.

As of this publication, crews have been assigned to Town Farm Rd. and Fish Hill Rd. for restoration. Additional crew statuses are still unassigned.
