Cookies for Kids

Macaroni Kid- Washington County RI is excited to announce to team up with OXO and Cookies for Kids to bring a great family fun event to you and raise funds and awareness for Pediatric Cancer! We will be hosting A bake Sale at TiddlyWinks Toys in Coventry on September 1st at 1:30. There will be activities, games crafts, and more for the kids and of course tables of delicious treats available for purchase at a small price to go to cookies for kids! We will also have great giveaways, door prizes and raffles fr om great sponsors as well as drinks and other snacks! 100% of the proceeds go to CFK.

We are also accepting volunteers who would like to donate some baked goods or help out the day of the event! If you own a business and would like to donate sweets, raffle prizes or anything else you believe will contribute to the cause, please email me at valeriek@macaronikid.com

Cookies for Kids’ Cancer is a 501(c)3 nonprofit public charity raising money for pediatric cancer research through local bake sales. It was founded by a very determined mother to help increase her young son’s odds in his fight against cancer. In late 2007, she had the idea to bake cookies to sell during the holidays. Her small idea became a huge movement with 96,000 cookies baked and sold during a three-week period with the help of more than 250 dedicated volunteers. Her bake sale raised more than $400,000. During that massive bake sale she realized people want to get involved and help, they just need a way to do so. So Cookies for Kids’ Cancer was created.
