Coventry Credit Union to Transition Ownership of Manville, RI Branch

Manville Branch Location to be transitioned to Navigant Credit Union

Coventry Credit Union has announced that after thorough review and consideration of the Credit Union’s position in Northern RI, a difficult decision was made to move forward with the closure of the Manville branch location.

Transition of ownership of the Manville branch to Navigant Credit Union is currently subject to approval of the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation and the Members of Coventry Credit Union.

“We will collaborate with representatives of Navigant Credit Union to ensure that the transition of our Manville operations will be seamless for the Members. This transition will have little to no impact on existing Coventry Credit Union Members’ ability to access funds or use of electronic services. We have made a strategic decision to refocus our attention on the banking needs of the current and prospective Members within Kent County and the surrounding area – a very strong market/service area for Coventry Credit Union,” notes David Root, President & CEO. “We value our Members and appreciate their patience during the transition of our Manville operations.”

Additional information will be communicated to the Members in the coming weeks/months as regulatory approvals are received.
