Patch Readers Get 40 Percent Discount on Park Theatre Tickets

Patch readers — an exclusive deal for 40 percent off tickets for comedy show Friday night at the Park Theatre. Don't miss the Reduced Shakespeare Company's exclusive Rhode Island performance.

How does 40 percent off a night of laughs at the Park Theatre in Cranston tomorrow night sound?

I'm happy to offer Patch readers this deal. Just enter the code PATCH40 when you're buying tickets at the Park Theatre's Web site and you're set. Or, mention the code when you call the Box Office at 401-467-PARK.

So what is the show? Just in time for the election, catch a real life debate between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. Ok, not the real Presidential candidates — but it will be a lot funnier than watching the real debates on CSPAN. It's "The Complete History of America," a timely comedy show by the acclaimed Reduced Shakespeare Company.

Touted by the Chicago Tribune as “Witty and wonderful.” and “Masterful!” by the Los Angeles Times, the group’s trademark comedies and unique sense of humor has led them to perform at the White House, the famed Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center and in London’s West End.

The Complete History of America (abridged) is a ninety-minute roller coaster ride through the glorious quagmire that is American History, reminding us that it’s not the length of your history that matters – it’s what you’ve done with it! As one of London’s longest-running comedy acts, now is your chance to see the hilarious Reduced Shakespeare Company during their only visit to the Ocean State.

"The Reduced Shakespeare Company is excited to be coming to Rhode Island,” commented Reed Martin, Member of the Reduced Shakespeare Company. “We believe that less is more and that small is beautiful, which is why Rhode Island seems like the perfect fit for us. And, don’t worry, we’ll be good guests and promise not to ask the state to lend us $75 million for our new video game company.”

The performance of the Reduced Shakespeare Company will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 12. Tickets are priced at $22 and $27, and are currently on sale. Special discounts are available for groups, seniors and students by calling the Theatre directly.  Tickets may be purchased through the Theatre’s secure website www.ParkTheatreRI.com or by calling the Box Office at (401) 467-7275. The Park Theatre is located at 848 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI 02910. Free parking is available for all shows at the Park Theatre.
