2nd ANNUAL NATIONAL COSTUME SWAP

Family-friendly website Macaroni Kid-Washington County Rhode Island is partnering with local businesses Tiddlywinks Toys and Gigi’s Glitzy Boutique to bring National Costume Swap Day to Rhode Island again this year.

On October 6, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. those who drop off a costume(s) and receive a swap ticket can visit Gigi's Glitzy Boutique on Noonseneck Hill road to swap for a new costume and enjoy other fun treats.

The event will include goodie bags from local businesses, entertainment for the kids, safety information and more during the hours of the swap.

A costume swap is recycling at its most fun. Kids get new-to-them costumes, and parents get to save money and the planet. Through the efforts of a grassroots, non-profit known as Green Halloween®, families in the area are being invited to take a greener approach to Halloween.

For more information about this event at Gigi’s visit the store’s website at http://www.gigisglitzyboutique.com or call (401) 615-3234.  You can also visit Macaroni Kid at http://www.washingtonri.macaronikid.com/.
