What's Open, What's Closed on MLK Day in Coventry

Plan ahead for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014.

Don't forget that municipal, state and federal offices are closed Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Schools, town hall, libraries, animal control and other municipal offices are all closed today. Police and fire tax and records offices will be closed as well, in addition to the U.S. Post Office.

Coventry Department of Public Works will will be closed Monday, Jan. 20. Trash pickup will be on a one-day delayed schedule beginning Tuesday.

Most banks will be closed, with the exception of the Citizens Bank branch inside of Stop & Shop, which will be open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For those who rely on public transportation, be aware that RIPTA is running on a holiday/Sunday bus schedule.
