RI Gas Prices Down Heading into Memorial Day Weekend

Average gas price in state was 12 cents lower a year ago.

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are down a penny from last week, according to AAA Southern New England.

In its May 19 survey of gas prices in Rhode Island, AAA found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.69 per gallon, down one cent from last week. Prices locally are 5 cents higher than a month ago. The current price is 4 cents more than the national average for regular unleaded of $3.65. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was 12 cents lower at $3.57.

The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 15 cents, from a low of $3.63 to a high of $3.78.

Here are the current gas prices and ranges (all prices shown are self serve):

  • Regular Unleaded: $3.699 ($3.639-$3.789)
  • Midgrade Unleaded: $3.879 ($3.799-$3.999)
  • Premium Unleaded: $3.989 ($3.899-$4.119)    
  • Diesel: $4.029 ($3.879-$4.309)

Oh god same bickering and nonsense on here just like the MA patch, and really its no the governments fault its the oil company's fault they just want more money and they damn well know it.
