Why Go: The Coventry Housing Authority, along with CCAP, will be hosting The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, also known as, to provide free dental care to Coventry children, teens and young adults ages 2-21. Include dentist Examination, filings, x-rays and oral education
Pricing: The Molar Express will provide the following services free-of-charge. (If you have dental insurance your insurance will be billed. If you do not have insurance there will be no charge to you.) To participate in The Molar Express appointments must be made by calling Erin at the Coventry Housing Authority at 828-4367. Why Go: Offered by the RI Chapter of the American Red Cross, this course offers what you need to know and what every parent wants in a safe and responsible babysitter. Learn how to keep the children you babysit and yourself safe, and how to handle emergencies such as injuries, illnesses and household accidents. Receive a certification card & valuable babysitting resources.
Geared Towards/Pricing: Designed for 11 to 15 year olds. Includes CPR training. $65 (non-refundable) payable at registration. Register in the Youth Services department starting August 1st .
• Baby Pictures - “The Help
Where/When: Showcase Cinemas Warwick, Quaker Lane on Thursday, August 18th at noon.
Why Go: Bring your infant or small child to the movie where Showcase offers lowered volume, dim lighting, diaper changing stations and a stroller area.
Geared Towards/Pricing: New moms with pre-walking children. $6.
• MetLife Family Fridays
Where/When: Providence Children’s Museum on Friday, August 12th from 5 - 8 p.m.
Why Go: The Museum is open free of charge from 5:00 - 8:00 PM for MetLife Family Friday – Free at Five! every Friday evening through Labor Day. Stay out late and splash, play, explore and discover! From 5:30 - 7:30 PM, drop in to Discovery Studio, the Museum’s new art and science exploration space, to experience a sensory exploration of materials from mild to messy. Recommended for ages 6 - 11.
