1.) Blackrock Harvest Event

Where/When: Coventry Community Center (1277 Main St.); Friday, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Blackrock Elementary School is hosting its Family Harvest event that will include a costume party (please wear costumes!), pumpkin painting and refreshments. Email Stacy Brookshire at sbrookshire79@gmail.com with any questions.

Pricing: $5/person, children under 2 are free

2.) Pumpkin Weigh-Off

Where/When: Frerichs Farm (43 Kinnicutt Ave., Warren); Saturday, 12 p.m.

Why Go: Head to Warren this weekend to see if Ron Wallace, a pumpkin grower from Greene can break yet another world record with his gigantic gourd, "The Pleasure Dome"! Pumpkins arrive at 9:30 a.m., Pumpkin drop at 11:30 a.m. and the Weigh-off starts at noon.

Pricing: Free admission, $5 parking

3.) Kids Workshop at the Home Depot

Where/When: Coventry Home Depot; Saturday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Why Go: Children ages 5 to 12 can participate in this program where children will be able to make some useful projects like tool boxes, pencil boxes, coaster sets, etc.

4.) Halloween Costume Swap

Where/When: Gigi's Glitzy Boutique; Saturday, 10 a.m.

Why Go: Customers who have brought in gently-used Halloween costumes prior to Saturday will have the opportunity to swap for "new" costumes for their kiddos! Donations of costumes will also be taken to benefit children within the Rhode Island Foster Care System.

Pricing: Swap-able costume

5.) Elks Octoberfest "Ho-Down"

Where/When: Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge (42 Nooseneck Hill Rd., West Greenwich); Saturday, 6 p.m.

Why Go: Join friends and neighbors at the Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge for the annual Country West Night. Cocktails at 6:00 p.m. followed by a BBQ Chicken dinner with all the fixins at 7:00 p.m.. Dance to the music by RI Rednecks and maybe catch a line dancing lesson or two. Tickets are available now by calling Lori Enos at 821-4261 or the lodge at 397-3700 after 4:00 p.m.

6.) Kick Off Bike Run & Dinner

Where/When: Starts at Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge (42 Nooseneck Hill Rd., West Greenwich); Sunday, 1-7 p.m.

Why Go: The Elks Lodge will hold its "Kick Off Bike Run & Dinner" on Sunday. The run will take place between 1-4 p.m., Pasta and Meatball Dinner from 5-7 p.m. Proceeds benefit Elks charities. For tickets call Wacko at 640-4284, Ron at 644-7366 or the Lodge at 397-3700.
