Five Things You Need To Know Today, September 25

Today is Tuesday, Sept. 25. Here are five things you need to know:

 

Get Your Library Card: September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month and it is the perfect time to get your own or your child's! Every child who signs up for a card at the Coventry Public Library in September will receive a plush animal and a welcome packet. Adults and teens that apply in September will be entered into a raffle to win Showcase Cinemas movie passes!

CHS on Twitter: Remember to follow Coventry High School on Twitter @CoventryOakers. For the next several weeks, Principal Mike Hobin will be tweeting test-taking strategies daily in preparation for NECAP testing in October.

Greene Famers' Market: The Greene Public Library Farmers' Market (179 Hopkins Hollow Rd., Greene), is open today from 4-7 p.m. There will be fresh bread, pies, herbs, veggies, original art, natural cosmetics and more. Rain or shine!

Plan Ahead: Sign up today to participate in the Coventry Cares for Chris Fundraiser and Bike Run on Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. The run to benefit Coventry resident, 11-year-old Christopher Carlino who is battling Stage 4 Lymphoma for the second time will kick off from the General Country Store parking lot (10 Hope Furnace Rd., Scituate) and finish at the West Warwick Elks' Lodge (60 Clyde St., West Warwick).
