Five Things You Need To Know Today, October 25

Today is Thursday, Oct. 25. Here are five things you need to know:

Housing Associates Board Position: The Coventry Housing Associates Corporation, a non-profit developer of affordable housing, is looking for residents who may wish to serve on the volunteer Board. Click here for more information or contact Executive Director Julie Leddy at jleddy@coventryhousing.org.

Costume Contest: Do you or your kids have an awesome Halloween costume this year?

EBCC Book Fair: Looking for a new book to read? Stop by Barnes & Noble (1350-B Bald Hill Rd., Warwick) to purchase a new book while supporting the Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center at its Fall Family Day. A percentage of your purchase will help the EBCC continue to serve families effected by domestic violence. See the attached PDF flyer for a list of free activites throughout the afternoon.

Go Bald for Billy: Residents are invited to join Central Coventry firefighters at Olde Theater Diner from 7-11 p.m. tonight in support of CCFD Captain Bill Hall who is currently fighting metastasized Liposarcoma, an uncommon form of cancer. Firefighters will be having their heads shaved to show Captain Hall that they are fighting with him! Enjoy food and live music while supporting this great cause! Click here for more information.

Political Profiles: Are you a political candidate in the upcoming election? Coventry Patch is would like to publish profiles on local candidates. Click here to fill out a quick survey or contact Editor Lauren Costa at lauren.costa@patch.com to get started.
