Five Things, July 8: CCFD Hearing Notice, Computer Lessons and More

Today is Monday, July 8, 2013 and here are five things you should know about.

Babysitter's Training Registration: Registration is now open in the Youth Services Department at the for a Babysitter's Training Course to be held on July 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The course conducted by the RI Red Cross is for boys and girls 11-15. A non-refundable fee of $85 is required at time of registration. Call 822-9102 for more information.

CCFD Hearing: Tomorrow, July 9, at 9:30 a.m., there will be a Status Hearing regarding several motions that have been presented the court, regarding the return of the district's ladder truck, authorization for tax sales and several other items. The hearing will be held in Courtroom 11 of Providence County Superior Court, located at 250 Benefit Street in Providence.

Free Computer Lessons: Have you been considering taking a course to get you up to speed with the basics in today's digital age? Now is the time to take advantage of Coventry Public Library's Free Computer Lessons for Beginniners! Lessons are offered in basic computer skills, searching the internet, making Excel spreadsheets, creating Word documents, and even navigating Facebook. Space is limited. Historical Photos: The Coventry Historical Society is seeking photos (copies or originals) and artifacts of historical nature covering the 18th, 19th, and 20th century eras to be displayed in the future Coventry Museum. Call Mary at 828-7523 or Lorraine at 397-7616 for more information.
