Coventry Officials Order Town Offices Closed For Winter Storm

Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014

Coventry school officials have canceled all classes and after school activities for Friday, Jan. 3. 

Pathways Strategic Teaching Center and The Greene School are also closed Jan. 3, as is the Coventry Senior Center. 

2:15 p.m.: Coventry DPW has postponed trash and recycling collection by one day, making for a 2-day delayed schedule due the New Year's holiday. (Click here for more information.)

9:16 a.m.:
 Coventry Police have issued a Parking Ban effective late Wednesday night through Friday, Jan. 3.

    It it okay if we use our snow blowers and shovels to move snow from our driveways back out into the street?

    I think they do an awesome job. If you compare them to other cities and towns they do the best.

    In answer to Cadre's comment regarding snow blowing or shoveling snow back into the streets, it is in fact against the law to place snow in the roadway and a fine of $80.00 may be assessed. So, in order to not create a hazard in front of your property, please place snow in your yards and not in the street.
