Coventry DPW Delays Trash, Recycling Pickup Due to Storm

Having already been on a 1-day collection schedule due to the New Year's holiday, Coventry's trash and recycling pickup will be delayed another day because of the snowstorm hitting the area on Thursday.

For example, residents who normally have Thursday pickup will have Saturday pickup this week using the two-day delayed schedule and those with Friday pickup will have their trash collected on Sunday.

According to Coventry's Department of Public Works, the uncommon delay in trash collection will allow DPW employees normally scheduled for collection routes to perform other storm-related duties such as plowing and sanding roadways. Residents are asked to not bring their trash to the curb during the storm as it may prevent plow drivers from efficiently clearing streets.
