The 7-year-old Burrillville boy has earned the support of first responders across the country in his fight against leukemia.

Tyler Seddon, the 7-year-old Burrillville boy who earned the support of law enforcement agencies across the country in his fight against leukemia, received a bone marrow transplant this week.

WCVB-TV reported he underwent the procedure at Tufts Medical Center.

Seddon has been fighting leukemia. His mother recently said that he was cancer-free.

In March, hundreds of police officers and firefighters across the region held a birthday parade for Tyler.

Tyler loves law enforcement and his mother set up a Facebook page asking first responders to send him birthday cards. It resulted in an outpouring of support.
