Thelma D. (Teddy) Brown, 92, passed away on April 9, 2014
Brown, Thelma D. (Teddy), 92, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Riverview Healthcare Community in Coventry with her family and her dear friend Phyllis by her side. She was the wife of the late Alexander C. Brown for over 62 years. She was the daughter of the late Nannia (Cooper) and William Blevins.
Thelma was a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan who enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends. She was a bookkeeper at Brindamour’s Oil and BIF in West Warwick for many years before retiring in 1983.
She was the beloved mother of Deborah M. Dawkins (John Perry) of Westerly, RI and Robert A. Brown of Pawtucket, RI. She was the proud grandmother of Jason (Jessica) Hodge, Joshua (Heather) Dawkins and Matthew (Jamie) Dawkins and five great-grandchildren, Alexis Maher, Kaylie Hodge, Jasmine Hodge, Mattie Rose Dawkins and Easton Alexander Dawkins. She is also survived by one sister, Nonie Grace Semon of Louisiana. Thelma was predeceased by three sisters, Mattie Richardson, Marie Aubrey and Wendy Blevins and one brother Raymond Blevins.
