Scouting for Food

On Saturday October 26, the Scouts of Pack, Troop, and Crew 11 Coventry will be collecting food to help the hungry in our community.  All food collected will be brought to the Coventry Community Food Bank.

            On Saturday October 26, Scouts will leave an empty grocery bag on your door. Please place items that you would like to donate in the bag and place it on your doorstep on Saturday November 2, Scouts will be canvassing the neighborhood around 9am to collect bags and deliver donations to the Coventry Food Bank.

            Items needed include: canned meats/fish, fruit juice, soups, baby formula, jello, pudding mix, pasta, sauces, canned fruit, canned vegetables, baby cereal, powdered milk, peanut butter, hot or cold cereal.  No outdated, opened, or glass items, please.

            This food collection is part of Scouting For Food, an effort by Packs and Troops around our nation to fight hunger.

            Saints John and Paul Parish proudly charter Pack, Troop, and Crew 11 Coventry.  In keeping with the values of Scouting, Scouts devote themselves to community service.  Along with year round activities of crafts, outings, camping and projects, Cub Scouts seek to be of service to others.
