Denis Roch to Speak About History of the Majestic Building

Denis Roch of West Warwick will tell the story of the Majestic Building at the monthly meeting of the East Greenwich Historic Preservation Society on Monday, April 21st.  The 5-story Majestic Building was built in 1910 as a hotel in Arctic, the busiest shopping area in the state. Sadly it was torn down in 1999.  Mr. Roch is a long-time member of the Pawtuxet Valley Historic Society and has done extensive research on the history of the area.

The meeting begins at 6:30 with a potluck supper at the Old Jail, 110 King Street, East Greenwich.  Mr. Roch's illustrated talk begins at 7:30.  It is free and open to the public.  Call Sue Curado at 884-4643 or e-mail her at lencu@cox.net.
