Register for 'Shocktober' at Paine House Today (and 4 More Things)

    Register Today - Bath Witch at NEFA: Tomorrow, Oct. 17 from 7-8:30 p.m., New England Farm and Artist, located at 1112 Main Street, will host Coventry's own "The Bath Witch", Diane, who will be conjuring up some all-natural handmade bath and body products. Diane will discuss her process and products, which use ingredients that can be found in your own kitchen! Participants will also get to create their own sugar scrub to take home! $20 per person.     18+ Bingo: The Coventry Senior Center (50 Wood St.) will hold Bingo today and every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. The cost is $4 plus Specials. All are welcome, but must be 18 years and older to play.

    CPL Halloween Storytime Signups: Beginning this week, parents can register their children ages 3-8 for Coventry Public Library's Halloween Storytime event, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. Children are invited to attend in costume and trick-or-treat throughout the library! Spooky stories and a Halloween craft will be featured. To register, stop by the Library or call 822-9102. Space is limited. 


    Plan Ahead - 'Shocktober' at Paine House: Register today! At 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, members of the Western RI Historical Society invite the public to experience a Shocktober event with spirits of Paine! (Paine House Museum of course, located at 7 Station Street.) Special guests include Andrea Perron, author of House of Darkness House of Light; Chris Rodina, author of Vampires of New England and Ghosts Ships of New England. $20 admission fee includes ghost tours of Paine House and the Pine Grove Cemetery by RISEUP, local ghost stories, folklore and refreshments. For tickets, call 249-0633.
