Pink Heals Tour Welcome Reception Tonight (and 4 More Things)

    Pink Heals Reception: The Pink Heals National Tour will arrive right here in Coventry, tonight, Aug. 27! The RI Chapter is holding a welcome reception at Nino's on Lake Tiogue at 6 p.m., complete with a family-style dinner! Cost is $20 per person and will benefit the Pink Heals organization. For ticket information, click here to visit the event's official Facebook page.

    School Construction Walking Tour: Coventry's School Building Committee will meet at 2 p.m. today, Aug. 27 to conduct a walking tour of the work and updates done on each school over the summer. The tour will begin at Western Coventry School at 2 p.m. Click here for the meeting agenda.

    Greene Farmers Market: Skip the grocery store tonight and pick up some fresh veggies, breads and pies at Greene Library's Farmers Market! From 4-7 p.m. each Tuesday through September, the Library (179 Hopkins Hollow Rd.) will host the community market that also offers plants, original craftwork and more.     First Night at CHS: Tonight at 6:30 p.m., Coventry High School freshmen will have the chance to become acclimated with the school they'll be spending plenty of time in for the next four years. Students should report to CHS promptly at 6:30 for their "First Night" as high schoolers!

    School Committee Meeting: The Coventry School Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. (not the usual 7 p.m.) this evening at the School Dept. Administration Offices (1675 Flat River Rd.). Click here to view tonight's agenda.
