Hopkins Hill Hosts 'Parent U' Tonight (and 4 More Things)

    CPD Safety Event: From 12-3 p.m. today, the Coventry Police Department will hold a free Child Seat Installation and Kids Workshop at Dunkin Donuts, located at 800 Tiogue Avenue.

    Hopkins Hill Parent U: Tonight at 6:30 p.m., Hopkins Hill Elementary School will host a Parent U Workshop for parents and caretakers of Hopkins Hill students. The event will focus on the school's new math series, Go Math.

    Pawtuxet Valley Community Chorus Rehearsals: The Community Chorus will resume rehearsals for the 2014 Spring Season Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. Registration will take place this evening at 6:15 p.m. at West Warwick High School (1 Webster Knight Dr., West Warwick). Registration is at 6:15 p.m. and practices are held each Thursday. New members are welcome but must sign up by Feb. 13. Email pvchorus@gmail.com or visit www.pvchorus.com for more information.

    Tomorrow - Additional Memorial Blood Drive: Due to the overwhelming response to the Jamie Mayer Memorial Blood Drive held at Olde Theater Diner Jan. 9, the Rhode Island Blood Center will sponsor two more drives in Jamie's name. The first is tomorrow, Jan. 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Coventry Credit Union (CCU) on Nooseneck Hill Road. The second will take place from 3 to 6 p.m., Jan. 24 at CCU's Main Street branch in Coventry. Click here to learn more.
