Halloween Storytime at Coventry Public Library (and 4 More Things)

    Halloween Storytime: Today at 4 p.m., the Coventry Public Library is hosting a Halloween Storytime for children ages 3-8. Children are invited to attend in costume and trick-or-treat through the library. Spooky stories and a Halloween craft will also be featured. Space is limited, so call 822-9102 to check registration availability before attending.

    Patch 101 at The Hive: Today, Oct. 29 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., stop by The Hive (650 Ten Rod Rd., North Kingstown, Lafayette Mills Complex) to learn how to use Rhode Island's local Patch.com news sites to promote yourself and your business. Enjoy lunch and learn how to expand your online presence through advertising, blogging, and posting events as well as network with other local professionals. Lunch will be catered by Eddie's BBQ.

    Dog Park Fundraising Help: Lisa Finneran, President of the newly-formed Coventry Dog Park Association, is looking for volunteers to help raise donations to go towards building the highly-anticipated dog park behind the Town Hall Annex on Flat River Road.     Be a Sports Blogger! Are you crazy about Coventry sports? Coventry Patch is looking for bloggers for the fall sports season, whether it be youth, high school, college or professional.     Tomorrow - Community CPR Class: At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, the Coventry Wellness Community will hold a CPR training class at the Coventry Community Center (1277 Main St.). Participants who complete the 2-hour course will earn a 2-year American Heart Association Heart Saver CPR certification for just $25. Click here to register. Payment is due the night of the class.
