Flu Clinic at Blackrock School Tonight (and 4 More Things)

School Vaccination Clinic: Members of the Coventry school community including students, faculty, staff, parents and siblings are invited to take advantage of two flu vaccination clinics being held in town this month. The first clinic will be held from 4-6:30 p.m. today, Nov. 6 at Blackrock School (12 La Casa Dr.). The second flu clinic will take place from 4-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Coventry High School (40 Reservoir Rd.). No out of pocket expense. If you have insurance, be sure to bring your card, however no money will be collected. Click here to pre-register and fill out forms ahead of time. Registration may also be done at the clinic.

18+ Bingo: The Coventry Senior Center (50 Wood St.) will hold Bingo today and every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. The cost is $4 plus Specials. All are welcome, but must be 18 years and older to play.

Community Garden Help: The Coventry Community Garden, organized and overseen by longtime resident Gail Tatangelo, is in great need of volunteers to assist with fall cleanup. Volunteers are currently needed to help spread fertilizer, remove stones from old garden beds, and plant a winter crop of oats. If you're interested in volunteering time to the garden that provides healthy food to Coventry residents in need, email Gail at gail660@verizon.net. Feel free to stop by the garden across from Town Hall to lend a hand this week, starting at 9:30 a.m.

Plan Ahead - CPEF Comedy Night: At 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, the Coventry Public Education Foundation will host its 2nd Annual Dinner and Comedy Night at the Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge (42 Nooseneck Hill Rd., West Greenwich). This year's feature comedians are Scott Higgins, Christine Hurley and Derrick Fonseca. Tickets are $40 each and proceeds will benefit the Coventry School District. This is an 18+ show.
