Fall Family Bingo Tonight at Community Center (and 4 More Things)

    Fall Family Bingo: Tonight from 6:30-8 p.m., the Coventry Parks & Recreation Department will host its Annual Fall Family Bingo in the Community Center's upstairs hall. The first bingo card is free, each additional card will cost $1. All ages are welcome, however children must be accompanied by an adult. Call 822-9107 for more information.

    CPD Seeks Few Good Men/Women: The Coventry Police Department has opened the application process for a police officer eligibility list. Applicants who successfully complete the process will be added to a list of candidates eligible to attend the training academy and be considered for police officer positions within the Department as they become available. Applications may be obtained at CPD, Town Hall or by clicking here, and must be returned with all required documents and $20 testing fee by 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 6, 2013.     Toddler Stories and Songs in Greene: The Greene Public Library, located at 179 Hopkins Hollow Road, Greene, will host Toddlers, Tunes & Tales today and each Friday morning from 10-10:30 a.m. The program is intended for children ages 1-3 accompanied by a parent or caregiver and will feature songs, movement and a fun story.     Dog Park Fundraising Help: Lisa Finneran, President of the newly-formed Coventry Dog Park Association, is looking for volunteers to help raise donations to go towards building the highly-anticipated dog park behind the Town Hall Annex on Flat River Road. If you are interested, or have suggestions for raising funds, contact Lisa at Lfinneran12@gmail.com.

    Plan Ahead - Community Forum: At 7 p.m. next Thursday, Nov. 21, Ann Dickson, Coventry District 1 School Committee Member and Karen Carlson, Coventry District 1 Town Councilwoman, would like to invite District 1 residents to a public forum to be held at the Greene Public Library (179 Hopkins Hollow Rd., Greene) to share thoughts, questions and suggestions about our town – its government and its schools.
