'Do You Know Molly?' Forum at CHS Tonight (and 4 More Things)

    Do You Know Molly? At 7 p.m. this evening, the Coventry High School and Town of Coventry Substance Abuse Prevention committees will host a forum for parents entitled "Do You Know Molly?". Molly is a synthetic, psychoactive drug which has earned much publicity recently for its growing popularity with the teen and young adult community.     BBQ Event Canceled: The Coventry Senior Center's "Big Boned BBQ" scheduled for 5-7 p.m. this evening has been canceled.

    Local Author at NEFA: From 7-8 p.m. tonight, Coventry resident and author, Linda Crotta Brennan will give a presentation on her book, When Rivers Burned: The Earth Day Story at New England Farm and Artist (1112 Main St.).     Elks Fall Pitch Card League: The Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge (42 Nooseneck Hill Rd., West Greenwich) will host its Fall Pitch (Hi-Lo-Jack) Card League tonight and each Thursday at 7 p.m. Cost is $5 per person per week. All adults welcome. At the end of the season, prizes will be handed out at an Awards Dinner. For more information, call Denise at 226-5053.

    This Weekend - 'Shocktober' at Paine House: Register today! At 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, members of theWestern RI Historical Society invite the public to experience a Shocktober event with spirits of Paine! (Paine House Museum of course, located at 7 Station Street.) Special guests include Andrea Perron, author of House of Darkness House of Light; Chris Rodina, author of Vampires of New England and Ghosts Ships of New England. $20 admission fee includes ghost tours of Paine House and the Pine Grove Cemetery by RISEUP, local ghost stories, folklore and refreshments.
