District 1 Community Forum Tonight at Greene Library (and 4 More Things)

    District 1 Community Forum: At 7 p.m. this evening, Ann Dickson, Coventry District 1 School Committee Member and Karen Carlson, Coventry District 1 Town Councilwoman, would like to invite District 1 residents to a public forum to be held at the Greene Public Library (179 Hopkins Hollow Rd., Greene) to share thoughts, questions and suggestions about our town – its government and its schools. Click here for more information.

    CPD Safety Event: The Coventry Police Department will host a free Child Seat Installation and Kids Workshop today from 4-7 p.m. at Anytime Fitness, located at 55 Sandy Bottom Road.

    Youth Crochet Class: From 4-5 p.m. today, Greene Library (79 Hopkins Hollow Rd., Greene) will offer basic crochet lessons for youths, grades 5 and above. Join Miss Charlotte in this free 3-week workshop, during which she will help participants get started on their own projects. Children can bring their own yarn or share the Library's, but must bring a 6.0mm crochet hook to each lesson. To register, call the Library at 397-3873 or send an email to charlotte@coventrylibrary.org.

    WCFD Meeting: The Western Coventry Fire District Board of Directors will meet this evening at 7 p.m. at the Summit Station, located at 1112 Victory Highway in Greene. Click here to view tonight's agenda.

    Elks Fall Pitch Card League: The Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge (42 Nooseneck Hill Rd., West Greenwich) will host its Fall Pitch (Hi-Lo-Jack) Card League tonight and each Thursday at 7 p.m. Cost is $5 per person per week. All adults welcome. At the end of the season, prizes will be handed out at an Awards Dinner. For more information, call Denise at 226-5053.
