CHS Homecoming Football Game Tonight (and 4 More Things)

    CHS Homecoming: Coventry High School will kick off (pun intended) Homecoming 2013 with a home football game against Mount Hope High School tonight at 7 p.m. Homecoming King and Queen nominees will be introduced during halftime. Click here for a complete guide to this year's Homecoming Weekend.

    Round Robin Tennis Tourney Deadline: Today is the last day to register for Coventry Parks & Recreation's Fall Round Robin Tennis Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. at the Paine Field courts (rain date, Oct. 27). Resident registration is $10, non-resident is $20 and can be done at the Parks & Rec office located at 1277 Main Street between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The tournament is for adults only (no high school students). Call 822-9107 for more information.

    CGT Finals: The Finals Night of the second annual Coventry's Got Talent competition will take place tonight from 6-9 p.m. at Cornerstone of Faith Church (1081 Main St.). Audience members 13 years of age and up will be asked to make a $5 admission donation per person. Click here for details.

    Live Music at Indigo: Tonight from 8-11 p.m., Indigo Pizza and Lounge (599 Tiogue Ave.), will host live entertainment by local singer/songwriter Tom Burgess. Stop by, grab a slice and enjoy!

    Greene Homestead Tours: Did you know that Spring 2013 marked the Nathanael Greene Homestead's 89th season as a museum? Take a tour at 50 Taft Street in Coventry to learn all about Revolutionary War General Nathanael Greene who built and lived in the home, known as Spell Hall, from 1770 to 1776. Tours are given from Apr. 1 to Oct. 31 on Monday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children.
