Charter Review Commission Meets Wednesday (and 4 More Things)

    Human Services Van Driver: Today, Jan. 29 is the application deadline for the Van Driver position with Coventry Human Services' Project Friends Program. Candidates must have valid RI license, incident free driving record, high school diploma and an understanding and sensitivity to special needs of the developmentally challenged. 20 hours per week, $9.75 per hour. Applications must be filled out at Coventry Town Hall by 4:30 p.m. today.

    Charter Review: At 6 p.m. this evening, the Coventry Charter Review Commission will meet in Town Council Chambers at Town Hall. Click here to view tonight's meeting agenda.

    Strategic Planning Committee: Today at 4 p.m., the District Strategic Planning Committee will meet at the School Administration Offices (1675 Flat River Road) to review and discuss ongoing metrics, reports, revisions and goals for the district's RIDE-mandated Strategic Plan.     CHS Cabaret Deadline: CHS students interested in taking part in this year's World Language Cabaret should be reminded that today, Jan. 29, is the deadline to submit audition videos online. The Language Dept. will audition MCs, dancers, singers, musicians and any other cultural performance for the Cabaret scheduled for Feb. 7.  

    18+ Bingo: The Coventry Senior Center (50 Wood St.) will hold Bingo today and every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. The cost is $4 plus Specials. All are welcome, but must be 18 years and older to play.
