Paine House Museum Beer Tasting Tonight (and 4 More Things)

    Senior Center September Breakfast: From 7:30-9 a.m. today, the Coventry Senior Center (50 Wood St.) will hold its September Breakfast. Guests will enjoy scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, French toast or English muffin, juice, coffee and tea for just $3! All are welcome.

    Paine House Beer Tasting: Join members of the Western Rhode Island Civic Historical Society tonight from 5-9 p.m. for the First Annual Paine House Museum Beer Tasting event! Sample local brews from Trinity Brewhouse, Ravenous Brewing Company, Foolproof Brewery and Narragansett Brewery. The evening will feature beer sampling, food provided by CHS' Knotty Oak Room, music by Town Councilman Greg Labossonniere and ghost tours conducted by RISEUP. $30 per person to benefit ongoing Paine House restoration. This is a 21+ event (valid photo ID required for entry). For tickets, leave a message at (401) 249-0117 or click here to purchase them online.

    Tomorrow - 6th Annual John H. Urwin III Memorial Scholarship Fundraising Pasta Dinner: From 4-7 p.m. on Sept. 28, the Urwin family, founders of the John H. Urwin III Memorial Scholarship Fund, will host a pasta dinner at the Coventry Community Center (1277 Main St.). During the Coventry High School Music Department-sponsored event, guests will also be able to take part in a bake sale and raffles, including a 50-50 raffle with a Grand Prize drawing of five NE Patriots tickets (will be drawn following all other raffle prizes and announcements). Dinner is $10 per adult, $6 per child ages 5-12, children under 5 are guests. Seating is limited. For tickets or information, call (401) 826-1746.

    Plan Ahead - Dog Park Meeting: The next meeting of the Coventry Dog Park Association will take place at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 3 in the Ocean State Veterinary Specialists conference room (1480 South County Trl., East Greenwich).
