Jamie Mayer Memorial Blood Drive #2: Due to the overwhelming response to the Jamie Mayer Memorial Blood Drive held at Olde Theater Diner Jan. 9, the Rhode Island Blood Center will sponsor two more drives in Jamie's name. The first will take place today, Jan. 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Coventry Credit Union (CCU) on Nooseneck Hill Road. The second will take place from 3 to 6 p.m., Jan. 24 at CCU's Main Street branch in Coventry. Click here to learn more.

Women's Self Defense Class: Today is the last day to reserve your spot in the Women's Protection and Awareness Workshop, sponsored by Ed Oakley's Traditional Okinawan Karate and Tiogue Elementary School. Toddler Stories and Songs in Greene: The Greene Public Library, located at 179 Hopkins Hollow Road, Greene, will host Toddlers, Tunes & Tales today and each Friday morning from 10-10:30 a.m. The program is intended for children ages 1-3 accompanied by a parent or caregiver and will feature songs, movement and a fun story.
