Register For 'Historical Coventry' Presentation (and 4 More Things)

    Coventry FD Board Meeting: At 6 p.m. this evening, the Coventry (Anthony) Fire District Board of Directors will meet at Anthony Station (571 Washington St.). Agenda items include personnel changes and officer reports. Click here to view the meeting agenda.

    Historical Coventry: From 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5, Coventry newcomer New England Farm and Artist, located at 1112 Main Street, will host Mr. Andrew Boisvert, Coventry resident, historian and author of Coventry Patch's Coventry Roots column. He will speak about the local Washington Village neighborhood and the Paine House during the first presentation of what will be a series. A minimal donation to the Western RI Civic Historical Society is welcome.     Crafters Needed: Members of the Western RI Civic Historical Society are currently seeking crafters and vendors for the 4th Annual Paine House Museum Heritage Day to take place on Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Paine House on Station Street. If interested, contact Sandy at 821-2444.

    Attention CHS Seniors: Coventry High School Principal Mike Hobin would like to remind seniors that if they have not had their senior portrait sitting yet, they should make arrangements to do so ASAP. Photographs should be taken and a yearbook photo should be selected from proofs no later than Friday, Sept. 13, 2013
