The Roger Williams Park Zoo is scheduled to hold a weekend-long Mother’s Day Celebration on May 12 and 13. The event will feature free admission for moms (when accompanied by a child) as well as a free flower at the entrance for the first 500 moms starting at 11 a.m.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. children can participate in making a special present for mom and all visitors can have fun at outdoor activity zones featuring hula hooping, bean bag toss, horseshoes and more, along with animal encounters, music and entertainers.
Guests will also have a chance to win a selection of prizes including a fire pit from Unilock; a mom’s night out featuring four tickets to the opening night of Motherhood the Musical, playing at Trinity Rep; dinner and an overnight for four at The Homewood Suites by Hilton; and complimentary Zoo tickets.
