Free Archery Clinic at Kent County YMCA
900 Centerville Rd, Warwick, RI | Get Directions »
FREE
On Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. until noon the Kent County YMCA has announced it will offer Archery Clinics for children 6 and older. The clinics are free and open to the public.
Archery has become very popular with young people this year, featured in movies as diverse as the Disney/Pixar animated film Brave, the superhero blockbuster The Avengers, and, of course, the smash hit, The Hunger Games.
To provide young people an introduction to the sport, the Y will offer a free clinic including training in archery equipment, rules of the game, how to shoot a bow and arrow, safety, and target practice. The Archery Clinics are led by certified YMCA instructors.
The Y offers Archery programs all summer long at day camps throughout the area for children wanting to gain even more experience.
