Ready and waiting for new homes are the following animals: A 4 to 5-year-old male brown lab that animal control officers picked up as a stray about two weeks ago. He is friendly and seems to be house-trained, but is currently overweight so a balanced diet will be necessary. He is not vaccinated or neutered and will most likely be happiest in a single-dog household. Vega, the 2-year-old male American Bulldog is very friendly and rambunctious but could use a bit of training with least manners. He is not currently neutered or vaccinated. A 1-year-old male Pitbull mix pup who was picked up by …
Ready for an addition to your family? How about a furry, cuddly one? The Coventry Animal Control officers asked me to stop by yesterday to photograph these boys in hopes of finding them forever homes. Ready and waiting are two adult male cats, estimated to be about 8 or 9 years old. Both are neutered, vaccinated and have tested negative for feline leukemia. Both are very friendly and are thought to have been roaming outside for some time before being found by Animal Control officers. The gray cat is declawed in the front - a trait that may stick out for anyone missing their pet. There is …
Ready for an addition to your family? How about a furry, cuddly one? The Coventry Animal Control officers asked me to stop by yesterday to photograph these cuties in hopes of finding them forever homes (they really had to twist my arm to get me there...not.) There are currently nine adoptable kitties at the shelter, ranging from eight weeks old to one mommy cat who is 1-2 years old. They are all playful, curious and loveable. (Just ask the Animal Control officers - I didn't want to leave.) The older kittens have been vaccinated and spayed/neutered (a $10 adoption fee), and the younger ones …

(And who said a little money can't buy happiness?) Animal Control Officer Matt McCormick recommends that this pup be adopted into a home without …

Being brought to the pound on Christmas Eve was not the best present this sweet doggy could have gotten, but you can make up for it by giving him a loving home! This Sheltie mix is about ten years old and was brought to the pound when his elderly owners were relocated to an assisted living home. Still full of spunk, this friendly boy is good with other cats and dogs and also doesn't mind being left outside to play for a bit. He is very energetic and would make a great addition to your home...especially if there are Milkbone biscuits! He is also neutered and up-to-date on his shots. The fee to…
