As much as I agree with your statements about the KC Times, I do have to say that they at leastRead Morehave reporters that go out and get informafion. I have dealt with some of their reporters. The Patch on the otherhand only reports what can be read off the network supplied by the Prov Journal. The Times at least covered the Feinstein Middle School's girls softball teams win at RI College to take the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. This was a big event for the girls and the school.

CT2 do you have a problem with homosexuality?
Cheap Guy May 19, 2014 at 01:28 PM
Linda Former Mayor Steve Laffey drives a pickup truck. Is he visiting RI this week ?? Never forgetRead Moret he words proudly penned by Laffey In one column, Laffey wrote he has never seen a happy homosexual. "This is not to say there aren't any; I simply haven't seen one in my lifetime. Maybe they are all in the closet," he wrote. "All the homosexuals I've seen are sickly and decrepit, their eyes devoid of life." In another column he wrote that pop music was turning the children of America into sissies, and criticized the singer Boy George, referring to him as ...."it." "It wears girl's clothes and puts on makeup," he wrote. "When I hear it sing, 'Do you really want to hurt me, do you really want to make me cry,' I say to myself, YES, I want to punch your lights out, pal, and break your ribs."

I am sure Steve Fay knows the answer to this mystery, After all he is the "residentRead More"exper t' for all things fire related.
James Buckley May 23, 2014 at 10:57 AM
Ok i am going to use some common sense here,1 i am pretty sure if you can post you can make a phone Read Morecall to any fire station and report the activity,2 call the police to investigate,3 building is closed someone might be doing some light maintenance shutting down the heating system checking to make sure the building made through the winter without any water pipe problems etc etc,3 maybe some one is doing an inventory or moving stuff from the building to another station for the same reason since the new guy took over,4 it would be best if the person was authorized to be there to open the door park inside and close the door since the place is closed if he parked outside and left a door open someone could mistake it for being open and stop to report an emergency and the person inside would not be able to help.Good thing i left that town with such observant ppl who post to the patch rather than make a call to the police or the chief,i can only wonder what you would do if your neighbors house was being broken into live tweet it

Agreed. People need to be more aware of this disease, mainly because it often has no obviousRead Moresympto ms until it's spread widely in the body and may be beyond the easy treatment stage. There are multiple causes, but the two primary are - one associated with smoking and overuse of alcohol, and the other associated with GERD, acid reflux, and heartburn. As heartburn and it's related maladies has become increasingly common in the last 20-30 years, so has the rise in esophageal cancer from this, often starting with what's called Barrett's Esophagus, which develops when the cells in the lining of the esophagus mutate in an attempt to protect themselves from the effects of stomach acid or bile fluid. The only way to discover this condition early is with an endoscopy. I believe that anyone who suffers from frequent and continuing heartburn or reflux, especially night time reflux while lying down(even if infrequent), should have this test done. Heavy smokers should also have this test done, and it should become a recommended test, like a colonoscopy, starting between the age of 50 to 60.
