What's Closed on Memorial Day
Monday, May 28 — Memorial Day — is a Federal Holiday.
Get your banking and library books checked out this weekend — due to Memorial Day being a Federal Holiday, all government offices will be closed Monday. That includes the U.S. Post Office and the Coventry Post Office. Coventry Town Hall, Public Library, Greene Library and other city offices will close as well.
Public safety departments, such as police and fire will be operating on an emergency basis. (No VIN checks, records, accident reports, etc.)
Most banks, including Citizens, Sovereign Bank, Admirals, Coventry Credit Union, Centreville and Randolph Savings will be closed. Be sure to check with your institution — as some banks may remain open.
All Coventry schools are closed and the Department of Public Works will be operating on a one-day delayed trash pickup schedule come Tuesday.
