Three Coventry Students Earn Science Award
St. Mary Academy — Bay View announced 27 recipients of the Excalibur National Honor Society for Excellence in Science, which include three Coventry residents.
Kimberly Grace Grattan, Raquel Pederzani and Danielle Riggin of Coventry were among 27 Bay View Academy students recently inducted into Excalibur National Honor Society for Excellence in Science. They were welcomed into the Society by keynote speaker and Bay View Alumna, Susan Lima Henry (’79) who is the Microbiology Technical Supervisor at East Side Clinical Laboratory in East Providence.
Chartered for the first time at Bay View in the 1999, Excalibur is a National Honor Society that fosters excellence in the study of science, the pursuit of knowledge and the advancement of the world through technology and research.
Membership is open to students in grades 9 through 12 who have demonstrated a proficiency in science by maintaining a minimum average of 90 in high school science course work prior to induction. Active student members must be enrolled in four years of high school science.
