State Police Reports and Legal Logs for Mar. 10-20

A collection of various Coventry-related arrests and Grand Jury reports. The following information does not indicate a conviction.

 

 

Hope Valley Barracks

On March 16 at 1:33 a.m., troopers arrested Benjamin Couto, 24, of 682 Main Street #3, Coventry on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on an original charge of Driving Under the Influence originating out of Coventry Police Department. The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Main Street in the Town of West Warwick. Couto was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.

On March 20 at 10:30 a.m., a trooper arrested Tyler Allen, 21, of 99 Rawlinson Drive, Coventry on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for FTA/Sentencing. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Nooseneck Hill Road in the Town of West Greenwich. Allen was transported to the barracks, processed, appeared before a bail commissioner, and released to a family member.

Wickford Barracks

On March 18, at 1:45 p.m., troopers arrested Justin Caramiciu, 34, of 285 Hill Street, Coventry for a Third District Division Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick. Caramiciu was transported to the Wickford Barracks processed, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Catalano, and released.

On March 18, at 11:51 p.m., troopers arrested Paul Griffin,34, of 22 Raymond Street, Coventry, on a Third Division District Division Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Operating with a Suspended License out of the Coventry Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on West Warwick Avenue, in the Town of West Warwick. Griffin was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.
