State Police Reports and Legal Logs for April 8-18

A collection of various Coventry-related arrests and Grand Jury reports. The following information does not indicate a conviction.

 

 

RI State Police Arrests:

Hope Valley Barracks 

At 1:10 a.m. on Apr. 11, troopers arrested Brendan J. Cullinane, 24, of 9 Cynthia Dr., Coventry, for the charge of Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and or Drugs – 1st Offense .15 or Greater. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Tiogue Avenue. Cullinane was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a family member.

At 5:00 p.m. on Apr. 13, troopers arrested Michael Hopkins, 49, of 155 Whaley Hollow Rd., Coventry, for 1.) Manufacture/Cultivation of Marijuana and 2.) Possession of Marijuana. The arrest was the result of a follow up investigation to a complaint filed at the barracks. Hopkins was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, appeared before a bail commissioner, and was released.

Scituate Barracks

At 1:36 p.m. on Apr. 18 , troopers arrested Dawayne Johnson, 23, of 22 Highland Ave., Coventry, for 1.) Obstruction of a Police Officer 2.) Providence Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Violation Hearing on a charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver of a Controlled Substance Schedule I/II originating out of the Providence Police Department 3.) Providence Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Violation Hearing on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V originating out of the Providence Police Department 4.) Providence Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Cost Review on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Hartford Avenue in the Town of Johnston. Johnson was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, special arraigned by Justice of the Peace Raspallo and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.

Detective Bureau

On Apr. 13, Lee Pollock, 45, of 248 Knotty Oak Rd., Coventry, was arrested for transmission and possession of child pornography. Pollock was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Houlihan, where bail was set at $5,000 personal recognizance and included special conditions of no Internet use and no contact with children under the age of 16 years of age.
